You may read that a transit is favourable and still have a difficult month. That does not mean you have entered the wrong birth details or done something wrong. A general horoscope describes a broad interpretation, not your full circumstances.
The difference in plain language
A dasha is a sequence of planetary periods calculated within an astrological system. A transit describes where a planet is at a later date. Readers who combine them are comparing a birth-based timing framework with changing planetary positions. Neither establishes that a particular event must happen.
Check what is being compared
- Which dasha system is being used?
- Are the two readings based on the same birth details and calculation settings?
- Is the transit being interpreted from the Moon, ascendant, or another reference?
- Is the conclusion about a broad theme or a specific event?
These distinctions explain why two readings may sound different even when both use the word "timing."
An example of separating a theme from an event
Illustrative example: a reader describes a period as good for learning, and a person is considering a training course. The practical next step is to compare the course content, cost, entry requirements, and schedule. The interpretation does not establish that the course will lead to a promotion.
Keep a record that allows disagreement
If you want to reflect on a reading later, record what was said before events occur. Include the time window, assumptions, and what outcome was actually described. Record misses as well as matches. Rewording a prediction after the event makes it harder to judge how useful it was.
What if the layers conflict?
Ask the reader to describe the uncertainty. Adding more techniques does not automatically resolve disagreement. You should not have to accept a definite answer when the explanation itself is tentative.
